REGULAR EVENTS:
Since 2017 we have sought ways to get involved in our community. We see the need, we see the pressure that comes with lack, and many of us have been there before! We have our sporadic events but we also have our annual events we do each year. Some events are to give to those in need, some to spur the community atmosphere, some are to raise funds for future events and all are to raise awareness to increase our footprint in the community!

Back To School celebration!
Starting in 2021, we gathered local groups to put together a day of celebration before the children's school year started. In our first ever Back to School Banger we gave away over 44 preloaded backpacks, two new tablets, gift cards, and a big-screen TV! Each attendee was able to get free haircuts from the three barbers and one cosmetologist who volunteered to provide these services for free! A local entertainment provider gave us a discounted price on bounce houses for the children, Kettle Dad BBQ cooked up all the burgers and dogs for those in attendance, a local church (Cornerstone Worship Center) opened their large facility to host us at no cost and a Christian rapper from the Pittsburgh PA area came and performed a concert at the end of the night!
We use this event to reach out to the children in the area and provide them with a blessing for their return to the school year! We plan on hosting this event every fall offering the same and even MORE services to our local families and children!
Starting in 2017, Mr. Roberto Gonzalez, had a vision to help families in need in the community for the holiday season. We joined and started personally gathering food/gifts, and with those in the community, pulled resources to bless families in our community.
Rather than seek those in need ourselves, we talk to those in the community for recommendations; those who are currently out of work, facing some financial constraints or are not looking to have a 'happy holiday' without some assistance. Most of those truly in need do not often ask, so we depend on the honesty of others to locate the candidates who really do need some compassion!
We start each year by taking private recommendations in November [honoring their privacy foremost], we vet the families to ensure we have an honest situation and being the search for the solution! The week of the holiday in December we provide a full meal for the family with all the fixin's and an age/sex appropriate gift for every member of the family - including the parents!
From what started with five families in 2017 has grown every year to over a dozen in 2019! The more participation, the more we can share the joy of the holiday season, even if life throws your a curve ball! If you would like to see upcoming events please visit our EVENTS page!

Celebrate with family, friends & our community!
Starting in 2017, our local group cooked up seven large turkeys, smoked the meat, made massive trays of sides and served over 250 plates of delicious homemade thanks-giving to our community [at a local church downtown - Mercy Hill Church of Blairsville]. Due to location changes of that church we had trouble locating a venue to host the meal. Due to the generosity of other business in the community we can now host the meal again and look to increase amount of meals served every year!
We use this meal to allow those in our community to celebrate a meal of gratitude together, local businesses contribute from the cooking, preparation and serving. Enjoy the meal, enjoy the fellowship and give to making our community whole!
